AFASA at the GrainSA PGP event at NAMPO park

The Minister acknowledged the efforts of AFASA to work with the Department of Agriculture to bring tangible and measurable changes to the agricultural sector. He announced the partnership that will have a huge impact on the goals of inclusive growth. Create credible pathways for emerging farmers to become commercial farmers. One of the biggest barrier is insecure land tenure arrangements.

The DoA will work with AFASA to identify 100 farmers in each province who are presently working the land but who do not have guaranteed land tenure. He indicated his pleasure in joining hands with AFASA to ensure that these farmers are awarded title deeds to ensure the sustainability of their operations and ensure inclusive growth.

Zero Tariff Policy Export Opportunities
AFASA North West warmly welcomed our visitors from China during the international market event held at the Barolong Recreational Hall in Mafikeng.

AFASA North West Chairperson, Wisdom Matsheka, pledged the organisation’s support for the new market opportunities presented through China, particularly opportunities that can create access for our farmers and agricultural products to international markets.

AFASA believes that stronger international partnerships can open new opportunities for our farmers, create markets for locally produced agricultural goods, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of agriculture in the North West.
AFASA North West welcomes this opportunity and looks forward to strengthening cooperation with our Chinese partners.
