On 9 May 2026, we hosted the Public Interest Day in partnership with Virgin Active Bloemfontein, in Northridge Mall. Virgin Active staff members facilitated a physical activity and mindful session. This is still also in alignment with the quest to promote mental health and balanced lifestyle in internal audit profession. Our members enjoyed the aerobics and yoga sessions!

On 9 May 2026, the IIA SA Central Region will be hosting the 2nd Annual Public Interest Day. This year’s theme is and Mental Health, which encourages us to promote unity across the regions while raising awareness and supporting mental well-being within our communities.

We are also proud to announce that the event will be held @ Virgin Active in Northridge, Blomfontein‼️

The activity for this year, facilitated by the Regional Committee, will be conducting a fitness activity inclusive of mindful session. We encourage all members to register for this event. Ladies and Gentlemen,

On 10 April 2026, we honoured an invite, courtesy of CIGFARO and ABASA CUT Student Chapter (ABASA - Free State Branch), for a very well organised Career Day T CUT. We engaged Students about the IIA SA, role of the Regional Committee, Siyakhula Programme for students, career opportunities and various professional qualifications within the Internal Audit profession.

The event was well attended and engagements were very fruitful! This platform also provided a great step toward collaboration by various professional bodies within the Accounting and Auditing profession!!!

📢 Important Update: Changes to IIA Certification Exam Results

The IIA is updating its certification exam scoring process.

Going forward, candidates will no longer receive a preliminary, unofficial score immediately after testing. Instead, one official exam result will be issued within three weeks of the exam date.

Who is affected & when:
🔹 CIA Challenge Exam (QAB & CISA) candidates eligible for the February 2026 test window
📅 Effective: 1 February 2026
🔹 CIA, CRMA, and IAP candidates with active applications
📅 Effective: 1 April 2026

Once results are available, candidates will receive a system-generated email notification and can also view their results by logging into CCMS, selecting Access Pearson VUE, and then View Score Reports.
