Park cleanup Nettleton Str

Two bags of litter were collected and removed during the clean-up of the Nettleton Street park.

Thank you to BNAG for assisting with this initiative and helping to keep the park cleaner, safer and more welcoming for the Brandwag community.

Pothole repairs in Brandwag

A sincere thank you to the Bloemfontein Neighbourhood Association Group (BNAG) for assisting with pothole repairs in our area.

Nettleton Park Boundary Repair Work

A section of fencing along Nettleton Park, adjacent to Tempe property and the water channel, was repaired today after parts of the boundary had deteriorated over time.

Barbed wire paid for by BNA was used to reinforce the affected areas. Members of Arboretum neighbourhood Association also assisted with the repair work, ensuring that gaps in the fence line were closed and access points along the channel were secured.

The focus of the work was practical: restoring the barrier where it had failed and reducing the ease of entry into the area.

What was achieved:
* Closing of weakened and broken sections of fencing
* Reinforcement of the boundary along the water channel
* Improved control of access along the edge of the park
* Hands-on support from nearby residents

BNA notes and appreciates the initiative shown by community members in addressing infrastructure issues directly as they arise.

Collaboration in action again 🌳✂️🔐👮‍♀️

A big thank you to Anneke Anker from BNAG , who, through her strong relationships, requested MMM’s assistance to trim the tree that posed a safety risk to municipal infrastructure.

Anneke also helped remove unwanted people sleeping here yesterday that were littering and defecating on the park.

🤝 Brandwag is becoming a cleaner, safer neighborhood thanks to strong collaboration between the community, government, and local NPOs!
