We are opening a training centre registered as an NPO and the focus is on construction, engineering, and manufacturing training, which will lead to employment. INTRODUCTION PASS IT ON TRAINING CENTRE was founded in 2020 on 11 December and registered on 10 March 2021 by its founder and also head of training, Mr. The success of the organization will be built on the principles of hard work and ded
ication by its founder and its employees. Kordom has a vision for what he wants to achieve with the training Centre that he endeavors to establish. He is a passionate businessman that wants to give back to his community. There is currently a huge gap in the education system and this is where we want to make a difference. Through thorough research done, we see that South Africa has a well-documented skills shortage - particularly in maths and science. While these skills are highly sought after in fields such as engineering and IT, there is also a growing lack of technical skills in the country, such as electricians and other manufacturing fields. South Africa's unemployment rate has remained stubbornly high at over 25% of the population and looking at youth unemployment, the situation is even worse, with 52% of the country's youth unable to find work. ACCORDING TO HUMAN RESOURCE INDUSTRY REPORTS, HOWEVER, THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY HALF A MILLION JOBS IN SOUTH AFRICA THAT SIMPLY CANNOT BE FILLED DUE TO A LACK OF NECESSARY SKILLS. The solution to this dilemma is for youth to consider a career as an artisan, as there is quicker access to full-time employment- with apprentices often getting an apprenticeship with a company in their first year. Thriving on innovation and uniqueness, pass it on is in a league of its own. We are a company that believes in the principles of shared value, proudly contributing to the upliftment of South Africans. In developing a variety of skills, our trainees become more than employable, they become empowered with the ability to shape their own future. We want to empower our youth and young adults and develop their skills. Not forgetting sports, for sports has died out in our rural schools over 20 years ago and with that comes community recreation. OUR VISION
The vision of Pass it on Training Centre is to be a skills training centre of choice across all provinces in South Africa. Our vision is to equip the disadvantaged and has it sights on soon becoming a leader in the development and training of a variety of skills. These skills include construction, automotive, the health and safety environment, and energy. We want to create an organization to serve our community. OUR MISSION
Our mission is to empower people and contribute to social upliftment by presenting practical orientated skills courses, through superior training. Our mission is to equip the youth under 18, the youth above 18 to 26, adults 26 and above, females, and the disabled. We will deliver high-quality competency training that would lead to immediate employment. Our target market is indicated above. Within the next two years, we want to see growth in our rural areas across our country, starting where we are currently in the east rand Ekurhuleni after which we want to venture into the rest of our province. Within 5 years we want our roots firmly grounded in the training industry. OUR OBJECTIVES
Pass it On training Centre has as its objective to pass on skills and by doing so, closing the unemployment gap. Our objectives are to equip and train the youth under 18, youth from 18-26, adults above 26, females, and the disabled. Empowerment is thus our goal. Success in all we do is our ultimate objective. Within the next two years, we want to establish ourselves firmly as one of the leading training centres not only in Gauteng but across all nine provinces. Employees will share in our vision and have as much passion as we do for this company. TRAINING
WHAT DO WE WANT TO ACCOMPLISH? We want to equip individuals with skills in different trades. We endeavor to create a positive environment where skills can be successfully transferred. A wide variety of training is available in the following fields: construction, welding, boiler-making, rigging, mechanical fitting, pipe fitting, carpentry, electrification, plumbing, health and safety training, administration (including computer literature), clearing and forwarding agent, company secretary, compliance officer, dispatching and receiving clerk, training in the textile industry and the automotive field. Training would take place over a period of six months. After completion of the training, the trainees will be assisted to find employment in order for them to gain experience, specifically over an 18-month period. After the 18-month period, they return to the training Centre to commence the trade test preparation. The fees will be payable by themselves or the company that they employed with can sponsor their training course. UNDER 18'S AND CHILDREN CENTRES -
In respect of the under 18's, the following points are to be noted: 1. We endeavor to approach children centres where under 18's are residing. It’s a known fact that once they turn 18, they are left to fend for themselves. Our role would be to help them by developing their skills and knowledge. This will help them to at some point find employment. 2. Our approach would be from a social perspective, assisting them, not only to develop their skills, but also to be mentors for them as they venture into adulthood. They will be exposed to numerous training, the usage of tools, being at active construction sites and during this process being taught about the ever-important safety precautions that must be in place on a construction site. They will also get first aid training and certification for all of the above. YOUTH 18-26 AND ABOVE Pass it on is addressing two crisis areas faced in South Africa: The rising numbers of unemployed youth as well as the decrease in the number of trained artisans within the construction industry. South Africa's alarming 45% high school dropout rate has fueled a national youth employment crisis that ranks at the sixth highest in the world. There are roughly 7.5 million young people between the ages of 15-34 years old who are categorized as NEET youth (Not in employment education or training). Pass it On Training Centre was born out of the need to address this ever-growing problem. Through this training we aim to help young and adult individuals and disabled South Africans and find a place for themselves within the workforce, it is not solely about teaching and training the learners a trade, it is about so much more! Showing them that they can do, something worthwhile, helping them to find a way to provide for their families and, instilling confidence in them. EMPOWERMENT As an organization, we are always looking to empower our youth, females, and the disabled. The Pass it On training program is designed to prepare women for careers as artisans. This field is male-dominated and is it our objective to integrate females into our programs. Our approach to this is strategic in nature and is our aim to create an opportunity for females to gain knowledge in this field. The stigma of male-dominated environments must be removed so that females can get equal opportunities in this field. All in the name of equality. Pass it On training Centre program helps to meet the industry’s demand for a trained workforce. The program also aims to create a climate across Free State enabling women to pursue careers in the trades and advanced manufacturing. This is also applicable to disabled individuals. JOB CREATION In the current state of our economy, it is imperative to create jobs. Pass it On will provide trainees or students the opportunity to get employed in the industry they have trained for.
