Today we celebrate Mandela Day 67 minutes by giving to our girls as we stand in solidarity with their hygiene practices and their reproductive health.

Hodisang Community Development is dedicated to promoting the health, dignity, and empowerment of girls by supporting menstrual hygiene and reproductive health initiatives within our communities. Through the provision of essential hygiene products, educational awareness programmes, and reproductive health guidance, we strive to ensure that girls have the knowledge and resources they need to manage their health with confidence and dignity. Our work helps reduce school absenteeism, break the stigma surrounding menstruation, and create safe, supportive spaces where girls can thrive and reach their full potential. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shoprite South Africa for their generous donation, which has played a vital role in making our vision a reality. We as Hodisang Community Development stand against Gender based violence and Femicide. We stand with Women For Change . End GBVF!!!!

On Friday, 21 November 2025, South African women will silence the nation.

We call on all women and members of the LGBTQI+ community across South Africa to refrain from all paid and unpaid work in workplaces, universities, homes, and communities to demonstrate the economic and social impact of their absence.

We demand that Gender-Based Violence and Femicide be declared a National Disaster. Not tomorrow. Not at another summit. Now!
