Building confidence, strengthening resilience, and navigating difficult social situations are important parts of growing up.

Join ACPA on November 10 for the next free virtual event in our Self-Advocacy Series, "Resilient Voices: Building Confidence and Responding to Bullying," which explores practical strategies to recognize, prevent, and respond to bullying in schools, social settings, and online.

Led by Dr. Eric Riklin, a pediatric psychologist with professional expertise and lived experience with a craniofacial condition, this session will offer valuable tools for building self-worth, navigating challenging experiences, and supporting children and young adults.

🎓 Applications are now open for the 2027 Randall/LaRossa College Scholarships!

Each year, ACPA awards four college scholarships to outstanding students born with cleft and/or craniofacial conditions.

Established in honor of Dr. Peter Randall and Dr. Don LaRossa, these scholarships recognize their dedication to improving the lives of individuals affected by cleft and craniofacial conditions.

13 years of CleftStrong. More than $180,000 raised. And a community that keeps showing up. 💗

The 13th Annual CleftStrong 5K brought families, friends, and supporters together in San Antonio last weekend for a day of connection, awareness, and celebration.

CleftStrong began in 2014, when Ray and Chelsea’s son, Richie, had his first cleft surgery. Grateful for the support their family received from ACPA, they wanted to give back and help other families navigating their own cleft journeys.

What started with that idea has grown into a beloved annual tradition, and over the years, CleftStrong has raised more than $180,000 to support ACPA’s programs and services.

Thank you to Ray, Chelsea, Richie, the entire CleftStrong team, volunteers, participants, and everyone who has helped make 13 years of CleftStrong possible. We are incredibly grateful for your continued commitment to the cleft and craniofacial community. 💗

Caitlin Church, BS, and Matthew Ford, MS, CCC-SLP, will share practical guidance on asking questions, understanding treatment options, planning for surgeries, seeking second opinions, and participating in treatment decisions.

Both presenters bring extensive professional experience in cleft and craniofacial care, as well as lived experience of being born with cleft lip and palate.
