Chapel Hill Breast Cancer Foundation CHBCF supporters donate their time and talents to manage all administrative and operational functions.

Founded in 1997 the CHBCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose sole mission is to support discovery-phase breast cancer research at Duke Cancer Institute, UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. The Chapel Hill Breast Cancer Foundation (CHBCF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the singular mission of supporting discovery-phase breast cancer

research projects at Duke, UNC and Wake Forest Universities. The CHBCF was established in 1997 and since that time has raised more than $1 million for our local universities through private donations, an annual golf tournament and live/silent auctions. As a result, 100% of the money raised by the CHBCF goes directly and equally to the three research institutions. Our Vision: A day when breast cancer is diagnosed early, treated only when necessary and is survivable for all.

🌸⛳ Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2025 Tee It Up for a Cure Golf Tournament & Fundraiser at Croasdaile Country Club!

We had a beautiful day on the course with 100 players from across the Triangle, followed by a fun evening of great food, prizes, and auctions—all in support of vital breast cancer research at Duke, UNC, and Wake Forest.

A special highlight was hearing from Katrina Cooke, a 12-year survivor of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, whose incredible story reminds us why this cause is so important. 💕

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, supporters, donors, participants, and especially our volunteers. Thanks to your generosity, the Chapel Hill Breast Cancer Foundation has now donated well over $1 million to local research efforts. 🙌
