As a part of our Virtual Art Tour, we are proud to exhibit the well-known “Explore Our Hometown” mural by artist, Trinity Rivard!

Located at 38421 5th Avenue, this mural highlights our skydiving legacy as well as beloved destinations like the WWII History Museum, the historic Train Depot Station, local golf courses, the Sarah Vande Berg Tennis Center, the skate park, and the family-friendly water park. Together, these elements reinforce the colorful portrait of Zephyrhills as a place where history, recreation, and community come alive.

On November 11, 1915, fifteen civic-minded ladies organized the Woman’s Club of Zephyrhills. Thanks to the efforts of Mayor B.F. Parson and Walter R. Gall, the Works Progress Administration constructed the Clubhouse during the Great Depression. The Clubhouse, located at 38545 Fifth Avenue, was built from native rock hauled from a quarry on the Hillsborough River. The first official meeting at the building took place on April 18th, 1941.

Today, the Woman’s Club of Zephyrhills remains dedicated to community service, civic participation, and educational programs in the greater Zephyrhills community. To learn more, visit https://bit.ly/3QuqmgS

LAST CALL: Main Street Zephyrhills is in search of professional mixed materialists and sculptors for the next addition to our historic downtown district! The deadline for all submissions is June 12th at 12 PM.

Eligible applicants must be professional artists or part of a professional team, at least 18

The Downtown district of Zephyrhills is one that is the heart of events, businesses, and art installations. One of such installations includes the mural, “Oceá” that is on display on 7th street. Oceá is 90ft wide and 9 ft tall and covers the entire wall of the Painted Pixie building.

This mural represents the City of Zephyrhills as the home of pure water and centers around the idea that water is restorative and connects us back to the life that it once had contact with the usage of various shades of blue and green. This piece was completed by lead artist, Johnathan Sierra and assistant artist, Fonz Eljaiek.

If you haven’t seen this work of art, we urge you to experience it firsthand!
