Not only is today International Jazz Appreciation Day, but April is also Harvest Moon Ball Champion Ruth "Sugar" Sullivan's birthday month! At 96 years young, she's still dancing and teaching the younger generations the Lindy Hop!

Fun Fact: a supportive community makes fun dance events even better!

Here's an opportunity to extend that support to those in need. This Friday (March 13), bring new or gently used essential items and clothing to the dance! All of the donated items will go to Sunrise of Pasco County, Inc. Domestic & Sexual Violence Center. Please refer to the "Shelter Needs List" for examples of what to bring.

When we all dance together, we grow together. And now we can give together.

Today we celebrate Jean Veloz's birthday !🎉 Jean Veloz was one of the most iconic Swing Dancers who represented the Hollywood and film style of Lindy Hop. Smooth, playful, and effortless, Veloz's dancing was one of a kind.

She being "one of the greats", whom we had the wonderful privilege to learn from, still plays in our hearts and minds as we dance and teach ♥️
