It is open to graduating high school seniors who will be entering college as full-time freshmen. Applicants must reside in or attend school in the Zachary, East or West Feliciana, or Pointe Coupee Parish.

Walking for a great Cause!

The Alpha Delta Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® was proudly recognized as a Platinum Partner at this year’s Pointe Coupee Autism 5K/Walk, hosted by the Autism Community Action Association on Saturday April 25th.

We were honored to be a part of such a meaningful community event—raising awareness, showing support, and making connections. It was a rewarding day of volunteering during the 5K walk and assisting with activities for the children.

Alpha Delta Pi Omega chapter remains committed to engaging with our communities, and making an impact by providing meaningful services where they are needed most.

Thank you to Kanetra Smith for her leadership over this service project, and to all the members who generously gave their time and service to make it a success.

Alpha Delta Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® “Enhance Our Environment” Committee hosted a Plant Giveaway at the Zachary Branch Library on Sunday, April 19th. The event was a tremendous success as we engaged with the community, shared knowledge and resources on planting, and provided tips on caring for plants at home.

It was truly a rewarding experience connecting with attendees while promoting the importance of nurturing both our environment and our community. We are committed to action, dedicated to impact through service, and will continue to focus on meeting the needs of the communities we serve.

The Alpha Delta Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, proudly participated in the 4th District Missionary Baptist Church Association Fun Day, hosted by New Pilgrim Baptist Church Youth Department, titled “Lit for Jesus: Shining Bright Together,” on April 11, 2026.

It was a joyous and spirited event as we worked together to engage the community and collaborate with one of the churches in our service area. The day was filled with fellowship, fun, and meaningful connections as we continue to shine our light in service to others.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Plant and Seed Swap this past Sunday, March 15th at the Zachary Branch Library, hosted by the Alpha Delta Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. Enhance Our Environment Committee.

Attendees enjoyed swapping plants and seeds while learning helpful tips on how to care for plants at home from plant enthusiast,Haleema Cooper. One of the highlights of the event was when attendees took time to share their love for planting and their personal experiences with caring for plants. The afternoon was filled with food, fun, and great fellowship.
