The heat is here, and we’re looking for a few portable air conditioners to help keep our dog housing areas cool and comfortable.

If you’re able to help, we’d be incredibly grateful for:
A donation of a portable air conditioner (like the one pictured)
Home Depot gift cards to help us purchase the units we need

Every donation helps provide a safer, more comfortable environment for the dogs in our care during these hot summer days.

🚨 URGENT NEED 🚨

We’re running dangerously low on blankets and 6 or 9 qt. water buckets for the dogs in our care.

Every donated blanket gives a dog a warm, comfortable place to rest, and every water bucket helps ensure they have constant access to fresh water. These simple items make a huge difference every single day.

Donations can be dropped off during our regular business hours. If you’re unable to donate supplies, a monetary gift helps us purchase exactly what we need. ❤️

Meet Bexley!

Bexley is enjoying a nice bath, and what a difference it makes! When he first arrived, he was filthy and terribly matted, clearly having had a rough start. Now, with a little care and kindness, this handsome boy is getting the fresh start he deserves.

Bexley is around a year old and is looking for a special home willing to give him the time and patience he needs to blossom. He can be a little unsure at first, so he’s hoping to find someone who will go slow, let him build trust at his own pace, and be there to support him every step of the way.

He would do best with a person or family who can spend plenty of time with him and help him continue building confidence. With patience, love, and consistency, Bexley is sure to become a loyal and devoted companion.

📍 8469 Southern Blvd., Building 3, Boardman, OH 44512

Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
One Saturday per month
$15-$17/hour based on experience
Veterinary experience required

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, answering phones and emails, data entry, assisting the veterinary team, and providing excellent customer service.

🎆 FIREWORKS AND PET SAFETY 🎆

While fireworks are fun for people, they can be terrifying for our pets. The days surrounding the Fourth of July are some of the busiest days of the year for animal shelters because frightened pets can panic, escape, and become lost.

❤️Keep your pets safe by:

• Keeping them indoors in a secure room away from windows and doors

• Closing blinds and curtains to reduce flashes of light

• Playing the TV, radio, or white noise to help mask the sounds

• Making sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date

• Leaving pets at home if you’re attending a fireworks display

• Providing a safe space with their favorite bed, blanket, or toys

• Talking with your veterinarian ahead of time if your pet experiences severe anxiety during fireworks

After the celebrations, be sure to check your yard for fireworks debris before letting pets outside. Fireworks and their remnants can be dangerous if chewed or ingested.

A few simple precautions can make a huge difference in keeping your pets safe, calm, and home where they belong this holiday.
