that a Dispensation may issue, authorizing them to open and hold a Lodge, to be denominated the Western Star Lodge, No. —, in the town of Canfield, in said county. Which, on motion, was referred to a committee consisting of Bros. Belt, Dillon and McArthur.

The Grand Lodge met pursuant to adjournment, and was opened on
the third degree of Masonry, in ample form. Present the same officers

…The committee to whom was referred the petition of the Brethren in
Canfield, Trumbull county, reported as follows:
“The committee to whom was referred the petition (and accompanying recommendation of Erie Lodge, No. 3), of a number of brethren of the town of Canfield and its vicinity, praying to be erected into a new Lodge, to be designated the Western Star Lodge, No. ——, have carefully examined the same, and are of the opinion that the prayer of
said petitioners is reasonable, and ought to be granted. They would, therefore, recommend that a Dispensation be issued to the said Brethren, authorizing them to work as Masons.” Levin Belt, Chairman.
…The Grand Lodge was accordingly declared, in the name of the Holy
