We are proud to present the 2026 Bridge Builder Award to Miranda Jennings — volunteer, staff member, Country Director, Board Member, and one of the most dedicated people in the Bridges to Community family.

Since 1997, Miranda has helped shape this organization into what it is today, from leading trips in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic to helping build the comprehensive, community-led development model that guides our work. Today she brings those same values to her community in Massachusetts as Executive Director of the Winchendon Community Action Committee.

Did you know: fewer that 5% of young people in our partner communities have the means to go to college.

Bridges to Community's Scholarship Program covers full tuition, transportation, materials, and mentorship for talented students in the San Juan province removing the barriers that keep them out of college.

This year, 13 scholars are enrolled. 100% meet the minimum GPA. 85% are women building careers as future teachers, engineers, and leaders.

They've earned their place. They just need the resources to get there and that's where you come in.

This is a mid-level position offering hands-on experience in community development, cross-cultural curriculum design, and team management, ideal for someone looking to grow their career in international development. Compensation is set to local standards but competitive, and benefits include a round-trip flight from the US and a monthly housing stipend.
