Mohegan EMS

10/28/2026

Today, on National First Responders Day, we recognize the police officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and all those who answer the call when their communities need them most. 🚑🚒🚓

We’re proud to serve alongside so many dedicated first responders throughout our community and beyond.

A special thank you to ShopRite, for recognizing the day by stopping by with bakery platters for both Mohegan EMS and Lake Mohegan Professional Firefighters - Local 2956 . It was a thoughtful gesture and a great reminder of the support our first responders receive from the community we serve.

To all first responders — thank you for what you do, today and every day.

This morning, Mohegan EMS was dispatched to our 2700th call of the year.

The growing strain on our system is handled professionally and swiftly by our dedicated volunteers and partners Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Mohegan EMS consistently maintains a low mutual aid reliance rate and that is only made possible by our members.

However, our mission to serve needs your help. If you see a letter in the mail from us, please consider donating to our 2026 fund-drive. Our agency is not immune to the increase in expenses we are all feeling, today.

Being we do not collect any tax dollars, the donations we receive go directly towards alleviating the pressure from some operational expenses.

Enjoy the last bit of warmth and sunshine. And remember, please only call 911 in the event of an emergency.‼️

We applaud the decision by the village of Croton-on-Hudson to pass a common sense law that promotes local first responders to stay within their community.

Mohegan EMS stands by the idea that cost-of living is too high for our youth and young members and we are in favor of any up-front real time policies, like affordable housing for first responders, that help relieve some of the modern stress associated with living in the “Mohegan” community.

Our members are the backbone of our local emergency services and we are actively advocating local leadership to make the common sense decisions to help them stay here.

First responders will get priority for future affordable housing under a new law in a Westchester village. https://dailyvoice.com/article/first-responders-get-affordable-housing-priority-in-this-westchester-village-thanks-to-new-law/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=4

What separates Mohegan EMS from other agencies? Our adaptability.

Our engineers worked hard to retrofit our ambulances to respond to emergencies in our area today. If you see 69U3 responding, you may have bigger issues than you think. 😩
