Libri, the coffee shop on Commerce Street, hosted a food drive in Yorktown Heights backed by the community organization Neighbors Lifting Up Neighbors to support the Community Food Pantry at St. Mary’s in Mohegan Lake. The drive collected donations to help local families have a warm holiday meal.

Folks,

Yes, SNAP funds were released…. But families have already cleared their pantries bare and are now in the process of restocking. AND there are also many families who don’t get SNAP or can’t get to a pantry, so we are figuring out how to help discreetly. We need you to donate generously this weekend to both St. Marys and First Presbyterian Churches and/or any other place that moves you especially with the long school thanksgiving break in mind.
We also ask you to please let any in your circle(s) know that great food is available to anyone who needs it.

NLUN/Libri’s Food Drive Drop off at The Community Food Pantry at St.Mary's Mohegan Lake went smoothly. Thank you for all the donations! 👊🏻🫶🏻

📣 St. Mary’s would love to welcome a few volunteers this Saturday, Nov. 23 from 8 - 11am for their Thanksgiving Distribution. They also need people who can lift things like a case of canned food.

If you can help, please just come on down to St. Mary's Episcopal Church at 1836 East Main Street, Mohegan Lake!

Neighbors Lifting Up Neighbors, a community space dedicated to supporting local food pantries, currently has a food drive underway at LIBRI to benefit the Community Food Pantry at St. Mary’s Mohegan Lake.
