Today we wore purple to stand with survivors. 💜

Purple is the color of domestic violence awareness, and today we wore it for one reason: survivors are seen, believed, and never alone.

At YWCA Yonkers, this isn’t a once-a-year message. It’s the work we do every day, providing safety, support, and a path forward for women and families rebuilding their lives.

Now we’re inviting you to walk with us. 👟

💜 Domestic Violence Walk
🗓 Thursday, October 29
⏰ 5:00 to 6:30 PM
📍 Starting at Dunkin’ in Getty Square and walking to YWCA Yonkers

For the fighters, the survivors, and the loved ones. Wear purple, bring a friend, and let’s show Yonkers that together we are stronger.

📞 Questions? Call 914-623-3316

If you or someone you know needs support, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788. You don’t have to do this alone.

Empowering women starts with empowering girls. 🏐

Our CEO, Charlie Knight, was proud to support Yonkers Police Athletic League at their fundraiser for free volleyball and softball programs for young girls in Yonkers.

Thank you to Executive Director Marisol Mancebo Marisol Mancebo , District Attorney Cacace District Attorney Susan Cacace, and every community member who came out to help these girls get in the game. 🔥
