We are mourning the loss of Dolores Huerta, a fearless Chicana organizer whose life and work helped shape ELLA. She may never have known how deeply she influenced our work, but her example taught us that organizing means confronting injustice directly, challenging those in power, refusing to be intimidated, and never asking permission to fight for our communities. She fought tirelessly for farmworkers, women, and communities whose rights were ignored. She faced threats, violence, and powerful opposition but never backed down. We need more women like her leading organizing efforts with that same courage and determination. We honor her by continuing our work to fight for our communities and living by the words she gave us, ¡Sí, Se Puede!
