What a wonderful morning we had working in the garden. We harvested 70 pounds of veggies, put out mulch in the walkways, and handed out veggies fresh off of the vine to the 5 Loaves Ministries clients. This morning we had the Wylie Evening Lions Club, the Sachse Lions Club, the Sachse Garden Club and a beautiful family out in the garden coming together to make a difference in our community. Thank you PDG Joseph Montag for sharing with us how the current sixteen District Governors in the great state of Texas honored Lion Dr. Pamela Baker at the state convention this year. They added Pamela's birthstone along with each of their birthstones on their Governor pins. What a beautiful thought. We have some outstanding Lion Leadership in Texas. Lions District 2-X1 let's level up. We are Texas Lions. We have big shoes to fill from Lions who are no longer with us but lived a Lion Life serving well.
