The Garden Park on North Washington Street is looking lovely with blooms! The swing is repaired and ready for you to enjoy! Thank you John Rogers and to everyone that helps take care of this special little spot in Worthington. We hope you will take time to visit. 🌸

Butterfly bush may attract adult butterflies, but it does very little to support the rest of their life cycle. Native caterpillars cannot use butterfly bush as a host plant, meaning it doesn’t provide the food needed for the next generation of butterflies.

In many areas, butterfly bush can also spread aggressively and compete with native plants. Instead of planting butterfly bush, consider native alternatives that provide nectar for pollinators and serve as host plants for caterpillars. Native plants support the entire food web—from butterflies and bees to birds and other wildlife.

If we truly want to help pollinators, let’s move beyond simply attracting them and start providing the habitat they need to survive and thrive. Plant natives and make a real difference! 🦋🌿

Fresh flowers and veggies coming soon!

Just a friendly reminder that our U-Pick flower field is not open quite yet—but we’re planning to open to the public sometime in July! 🌸 Stay tuned for updates and an official opening date.

We’ll once again be offering pre-arranged bouquets for purchase this summer, with pickup times scheduled in advance. Of course, our popular U-Pick cut flower experience will be back as well!

🌿 New this year: We’ve added tomatoes and peppers to the field! Along with picking your own cut flowers, you’ll be able to harvest fresh vegetables straight from our field.
