REMINDER! As a GWPCA member, you have access to the "Member's Only" portion of the website! This contains all kinds of resources, from a Membership Roster, to forms such as Futurity (field/show) and Maturity nomination, Versatility Award and ROM Applications, to a plethora of articles about dog health/wellness and many GWP-specific articles and more!

Members received the password to the Members Only section in their 2026 Renewal e-mail. If you are an active member and don't have the password, message this page and we will get it to you!

Ft Detroit German Wirehaired Pointer Club is holding an agility trial on Friday, May 8 at Ann Arbor Dog Training Club! This is in conjunction with Saturday and Sunday’s trials which are held by Ann Arbor Kennel Club.

Enter, visit, or volunteer if you're able! Supporting our breed clubs is the key to keeping them alive!

NEW Agility Grand Champion (AGCH): "Presto," AGCH GCH CH MACH3 Afterhour's Magical World Flyer CD BN RM2 RAE JH MXB2 PAD MJS2 PJD MFG TQX T2B5, handled by owner Susan McKeever, achieves his AKC Agility Grand Championship. Following Susan's unexpected passing, Presto completed his last qualifying run needed for his AGCH with friend Susan Holmes, a fantastic way to honor her.

Presto is the first German Wirehaired Pointer to achieve this prestigious title! Congratulations Presto and family!

Presto is owned by Susan McKeever and John Quattrochi and bred by Christi, Alexis and Allison Chism
