📖 𝗥𝗨 𝗙𝗖𝗔 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:6–7 (ESV)
🏆 As an athlete or competitor, your performance can lead to highlight reels, awards, and accolades. But in a culture where performance can become everything, we must remember the importance of humility.
Humility isn’t thinking less of yourself; it’s thinking of yourself less. It means using every opportunity, every accomplishment, and every platform to bring glory to God. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith, and remember to keep the main thing the main thing: Jesus belongs at the center, and He alone deserves the glory.
❤️ There’s another powerful truth tucked into these verses: God knows you, He cares about what concerns you, and He invites you to cast your anxieties on Him. You don’t have to carry the pressure, expectations, or burdens of life alone. His grace is sufficient, His care is constant, and your identity in Christ is greater than any performance or accomplishment.
