🚨 Tennessee Kratom Ban Takes Effect July 1 🚨

Beginning July 1, kratom will no longer be legal in Tennessee. If you or someone you love currently uses kratom, now is the time to prepare.

Many people are unaware that regular kratom use can lead to physical dependence, and stopping suddenly may result in withdrawal symptoms that can be difficult to manage alone.

At Brooks Healing Center, we understand how overwhelming change can feel. Our team provides compassionate, evidence based care for individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Whether you have questions, need support, or are considering treatment, we’re here to help.

You don’t have to face this transition alone.

📞 Call us today at 931-740-1087 to learn more about available resources and support.

Not all dangerous substances are making headlines. Some lesser-known substances are quietly gaining popularity among youth and young adults. Even though they are marketed as natural or safe, the reality is that serious effects on developing brains and bodies are getting reported. This week, tune in as we shed light on what is emerging and the risks these substances carry. Today's focus is ketamine:

Ketamine is a powerful dissociative anesthetic that can distort sight and sound, leaving users feeling disconnected and out of control. While it has legitimate medical uses, it is also misused for its hallucinogenic and sedative effects. Misuse of ketamine can lead to dangerous consequence such as memory loss, impaired judgment, and increased vulnerability to harm. It has also been linked to drug-facilitated sexual assault.
