Part of Rotary International, we serve Wisconsin Dells through community projects, leadership, and global outreach—working toward a better world, one act of service at a time. Rotary International is a volunteer organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, and help to build goodwill and peace in the world. There are approximately 1.2 million Rotary club members belonging to 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

We held our World’s Largest Polio Walk yesterday. These pictures are before the event, showing the Rotarians who volunteered to organize and participate in the walk. Beautiful day. We got our pinkies painted purple, which is what happens on vaccination day in Pakistan and Afghanistan, indicating that the child has received their vaccine.

We raised $300.05, which will be sent to Rotary International. It will be matched by the Bill Gates Foundation, $2 for each dollar we donated. We expect to do this again next year, along with Rotary Clubs across the world. Mark it on your calendar.

In all the fun and fellowship of Wo-Zha-Wa I did not want this post to get missed.

Please congratulate and give a big round of applause to Travis on his second Paul Harris Fellow Award!! 👏

Travis has had an intricate part of working with our grants and helping us make a difference. As well as his own personal contributions to Rotary International! With his help we were able to recently purchase brand new soccer goals for Wisconsin Dells Elementary and Middle Schools. This project will be shared on our page in the future! 💙🤍

What is the Paul Harris Fellow award?

The Paul Harris Fellow was established in 1957 to show appreciation for contributions that support our Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved Foundation grant.

Paul Harris Fellows recognize cumulative giving or gifts made in one’s honor of US$1,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation, while the Paul Harris Society recognizes annual giving of US$1,000 or more. (www.rotary.org)

It has been raining more than ever this Wo-Zha-Wa weekend but just know here at the Wisconsin Dells Rotary Club and the Rotary Beef Tent we all still have each other. Come stand under your umbrella (our tent), ella, ella, eh, eh, EH and enjoy a fun filled time with us! 💙
