๐Ÿ’š Meet the Frenches: The Story Behind The French Family Foundation โค๏ธโ€‹โ€‹
โ€‹
Hi, weโ€™re the Frenches! Jason and Kelly grew up in the same small town in Northeast Ohio and started dating in high school after Jason asked Kelly to prom. They married in 1999 and eventually moved their family to Florida in 2010.โ€‹
โ€‹
In 2011, their daughter Addison was born. Just 14ยฝ months later, their family grew again when Greyson was born with a birth diagnosis of Down syndrome.โ€‹
โ€‹
Their journey continued in October 2019, when they were matched with AJ through a private adoption agency. They received custody in January 2020 and finalized his adoption in the fall of 2021.โ€‹
โ€‹
Today, the Frenches love spending time together at the beach. Addy enjoys surfing and weightlifting, Greyson loves playing basketball and video games, AJ enjoys outdoor activities, such as playing with a ball or swinging.โ€‹
โ€‹
But through their experiences, Jason and Kelly discovered something bigger. They saw friends in their disability community struggle to get the items and resources their children needed. Through their own adoption journey, they also experienced firsthand how mentally and physically challenging the process can be.โ€‹
โ€‹
Those experiences inspired the creation of The French Family Foundation.โ€‹
โ€‹
Because sometimes, what a family needs most is to know they donโ€™t have to walk the journey alone. โ€‹
