🎨 Making Space for Grief: An Arts-Based Support Group for Pregnancy & Infant Loss

Join us for a creative support group for parents who have experienced pregnancy and/or infant loss. Together, we will create space to honor our experiences, our babies, and our grief through a variety of artistic processes. Sponsored by Empty Arms Vermont and CraftStudies Studio & School, this group will offer participants the opportunity to work in CraftStudies’ fiber, clay, and metals studios to create meaningful art as a way to remember and honor their child(ren), and process their grief. No prior art experience is necessary; all skill levels are welcome and encouraged. Facilitated by Evy Gray.

🌿 Different Paths: A social group

A space for women* with no living children, or who are childless, and do not intend to pursue parenthood, whatever brought you here.

Maybe you spent years trying to conceive and/or experienced loss and are closing that chapter. Or perhaps you never found yourself in a situation where parenting felt possible or right for you.

This is a chance to connect with other women who understand what it’s like to feel out of step with a world that often revolves around parenting and pregnancy. Come for conversation, connection, and social activities.

Open to nonbinary folks who are comfortable in a women-centered space and can relate to the stigma and assumptions that often come with not having children.

🥾 November Meetup: Late Fall Walk at North Branch Cascades

North Branch Cascades Trail — Worcester/Elmore, VT

North Branch Cascades is a beautiful, mostly flat trail along the North Branch of the Winooski, featuring mossy woods and cascading water. You can make the hike as long or as short as you like—there is absolutely no pressure to be an avid hiker, and most of the route is ADA accessible.

As Vermont shines with fall color, we may reflect on the many seasons of grief we endure along our journey. Wherever you find yourself this month, we hope you can show yourself care as multiple feelings may exist at once.

October is also Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Month. Join us for community remembrance gatherings honoring everyone impacted by pregnancy and infant loss — including parents, families, and friends.

RSVP and Save the Date for our annual Remembrance Nights! 🕯️ Throughout Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month in October, join us for community remembrance gatherings honoring everyone impacted by pregnancy and infant loss — including parents, families, and friends.

During each evening, we will engage in creative remembrance activities, enjoy snacks and drinks, and hear from community members. A child-friendly activity will also be available to help young attendees engage in age-appropriate ways as we gently explore themes of grief, love, and connection.

Everyone is welcome — families, friends, and children of all ages.
