Habitat for Humanity serving Winona County has generously welcomed Heart of Winona to start our own community garden in one of their raised-bed plots. We invite you to come play in the dirt, soak up some sunshine, and prepare a new opportunity to grow even more q***r joy and community care!

This event is free for ages 18+
Tools will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your favorite gardening gloves and trowel.

*Heart of Winona is able to continue providing the Winona area with safe, sober 3rd spaces thanks to support from our community.

Daphne & Maiya are two besties who share quite literally the exact opposite interests and are very different souls but still enjoy each other’s company. The sign behind them also holds very true “United Against Hate”. Let our pets be a reminder to love all - pets do not care about the color of your skin, who you are as a person, who you want to spend your life with, etc. They are there for the love! ❤️

Pride Month may be “just June” to some folks but June can be the most special month or the hardest month of someone’s year. Pride to me means many things - I have pride in myself for working hard and proud of the things that I accomplish. I have pride in my own little family for always showing up when things are hard. I have pride in my clients and all the amazing things that they do and share with me. I also have immense pride for my community here in Winona and all the people in it!

Pride Month traces its roots to the Stonewall Riots of June 1969 in Manhattan, a series of spontaneous, violent demonstrations by members of the LGBTQ+ community against police raids. Widely considered the catalyst for the modern gay liberation movement, the first Pride marches were held on June 28, 1970, to mark the one-year anniversary of the uprising.

This June, I would like to do something special for the community. There is one establishment who came to mind and they are all deserving of it. From now until July 10th (a full month), I am giving 2% of my revenue (excluding $ for pet library) to Heart of Winona - Heart of Winona is a safe and sober space for LGBTQIA+ individuals to find support and build community. Their mission is to empower, uplift, and advocate for LGBTQIA+ individuals, in Winona and its surrounding areas, by fostering a vibrant community grounded in inclusivity, equity, and justice.

When you book with me, whether you’re a new client or existing, know that you are not only helping these individuals find their place and their voice in this community but also helping the community as a whole. If we don’t take care of all, what is community then?

Thank you Heart Of Winona for offering such a beautiful service to our area - you are appreciated more than you know! And thank you to all my clients for letting me make this possible… it is an honor of mine to give back!

Hello Pridefest Friends,

Wow. What an incredible day.

Because of you, more than 750 community members came together to celebrate love, authenticity, community, and Pride at this year's Pridefest. Seeing Unity Park filled with joy, laughter, connection, and support was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together.

On behalf of everyone at Heart of Winona, thank you for attending, volunteering, performing, sponsoring, donating, tabling, and showing up. Every smile, conversation, hug, and act of support helped create a space where people could feel seen, welcomed, and celebrated.

Events like Pridefest are only possible because of our community. Your generosity and support help us continue creating inclusive programs, safe spaces, educational opportunities, and community events throughout the year.

We learned a big lesson at Pridefest this year about the importance of staying local. When the big corporation who promised cheaper prices misprinted our shirts this year, MCC Winona came in and turned around a new and higher quality order in just 4 days!!! They even delivered it right to our door! Thank you so much to Robin and her team at MCC for saving our behinds this year!
