Early morning releases are my favorite. These sweet babies were so thankful to be home. Obviously these are not your typical feral cats. These are what we call community cats. This trio is part of a bigger colony on this road. 3 down several more to go 😻

A Barrow County school bus driver stopped traffic to save a turtle today… and now people across Georgia are trying to figure out who this kindhearted man is. ❤️🐢

Sandice Thrasher says she was already having one of those overwhelming days…

Worried about one of her dogs, dealing with car trouble, juggling work, exhausted and stressed while trying to keep everything moving.

Then traffic suddenly came to a stop behind Barrow County school bus #1703.

There were no homes nearby. No children crossing. Just a long line of confused drivers waiting to see what was going on.

And then they saw it.

A giant turtle slowly trying to cross the road while the bus driver, along with two women who had pulled over to help, carefully guided him safely across.

Instead of frustration, people started smiling and cheering them on.

One driver even waved the turtle across like he was the guest of honor 😂😂

Sandice said the moment completely changed her day… and everyone in that like was smiling.

So if you know the driver of Bus #1703 in Barrow County, let him know people noticed what he did today.

This little moment of compassion made a difference for a lot of people who saw it. ❤️

Number 55!
This sweet baby doesn’t realize it yet, but she is going to be living a healthier and happier life.  She is the 55th cat trapped from a location with a large colony we started working in March.  The person feeding the cats recently passed away and neighbors and church members reached out for help,and we are so very thankful they did! 20 years of cats inbreeding and kittens dying has come to an end for this colony. This has been a huge project but it has come with a major rewards. Watching these cats transform into happier cats makes it worth the effort. Only 3 more left to catch 💪

Adopt me! Dandelion💛

He is so stinking cute! Dandelion is going to be a biggg boy and is sturdy with some giant paws. He is a gorgeous golden color with little white tootsies and a white tuxedo bib. He was trapped and rescued as a feral baby and can still be a little nervous, especially with new people. He occasionally does little hisses when startled, but the more he continues to trust, we know he will be just fine. He is not mean whatsoever, but just unsure at first— and I think is one sister who hisses eggs him on a bit. He went through a lot being a street cat for the first bunch of weeks of his life around other feral cats so we can’t blame him. He lets me hold him in my lap for belly tickles and treat time. He would love a family who can continue to devote time to helping him come out of his shell. He might take a few steps backwards with someone new, but i bet he’s going to be a giant snuggler! He has a gentle sweet soul just waiting to show off to his new family … we see it peeking through!

Dandelion will soon be neutered, has age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, microchipped, and combo tested negative. He just hit 2lbs and is probably about 9 weeks old. Over the next two weeks we will be posting A LOT of kittens for adoption. If there is someone you are interested that we have now, send in those apps! They will all (except the few runts) be fixed next week so we would love to get homes ready! If you’re undecided on any specific one, come meet them all!! See who steals your heart! ❤️❤️. Help Wanted! We are putting out an urgent plea for fosters. We cannot do this alone. Kitten season is in full swing and there are so many vulnerable babies born outside. This time of year it is inevitable that we will come across nursing mom cats with litters of kittens out in the element. Because of wildlife, statistically their chance of survival is very slim. Fostering is free. It only cost you some cuddles and a safe space to hang out.

Releasing the last cat at a location is definitely the best kind of release. This location had 3 females and 1 male. So many unwanted litters prevented 💜
