From above, you can see it was built in a cross shape, which makes me think it may have once been a small church or community gathering space.

Does anyone remember what this building was originally used for?
Any stories, photos, or history would mean so much to help preserve its story.

Places like this hold more than walls they hold memories. 💛

Today we reflect on a powerful moment in history.

Pictured here are leaders of the Civil Rights Movement standing together in purpose men who believed deeply in justice, dignity, and economic opportunity for all.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rev. Jesse Jackson were part of a generation that challenged systems, opened doors, and reshaped the future of communities across this nation.

Their work reminds us that community development is not just about buildings or programs — it is about people. It is about access. It is about equity. It is about ensuring that every neighborhood has the opportunity to thrive.

We're less than two weeks away! So happy to report we're at capacity, forty three exhibitors....this is a new milestone for South County and Wimauma.
We're looking for volunteers, high school and college students for Community service hours.

We're working on having the entire town of Wimauma designated as historic.

On Saturday, November 15th, 2025, DiscoverWimauma in collaboration with Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Hillsborough County, Florida Government and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay will host the Heart of Hillsborough Community Festival and Resource Fair. Time: 10 am to 1 pm. Location: Bethune Park, 5809 Edina Street, Wimauma.
This is an invitation to be a vendor at this Free Community event. all nonprofits, stakeholders, faith based community, food trucks, Businesses, and community service organizations are invited to join us.
We're looking for entertainment and entertainers; dance groups, singers, classic car groups, bands, etc. This will be a huge safe family event. Entertainment must be family friendly.
