We believe when women do well, their children and communities do better! Enterprising Latinas (ELI) creates pathways of economic opportunity for women by teaching new skills, creating networks of mutual support, and advocating for innovative solutions to promote economic mobility and equity. Founded in 2009 and in operations since 2014, ELI is a highly recognized advocate of solutions to address i

nequities in women's wages and wealth, particularly among Latinas, who only earn on average 57 cents for every dollar a white male earns in the United States. ELI’s strategy is twofold: to support individual low to moderate-income women on their path to economic prosperity, as well as to turn community challenges into economic opportunities for women. Sustainable economic development requires timely access to affordable financial resources. Through the Rising Community Loan Fund (RCLF), an initiative of Enterprising Latinas (ELI), we provide low-interest loans tailored to the real needs of local small businesses.

Our comprehensive support model includes:

Esta semana en Enterprising Latinas (ELI), avanzamos en la creación de oportunidades concretas para el desarrollo profesional y empresarial de nuestra comunidad:

- Inicio del Business Development Training: ¡Celebramos el Día 1 de Orientación junto a nuestra nueva cohorte de emprendedoras! Un grupo listo para adquirir herramientas de negocio, estructurar sus proyectos y crecer con el apoyo de ELI.

- Nuevas Alianzas de Empleo: Asistimos a la reunión de FDOT OnBoard Tampa Bay, una iniciativa clave que apoya a quienes buscan empleo mediante preparación de resúmenes, entrevistas, habilidades blandas y soluciones de transporte para conectar con contratistas locales.

We are filled with pride to celebrate the impact of our partnership between Enterprising Latinas and Ana G. Méndez University (AGMU). It was a day dedicated to taking care of our community, offering vision exams, lab tests (glucose & cholesterol), blood pressure screenings, health education, and overall well-being.

A heartfelt thank you to all our participating vendors and partners: Preserve Vision Florida, Moffitt Cancer Center, Florida Blue (Imelda Dutton), Florida Department of Health, Empath Health, Walgreens, Early Learning & Literacy / Let's Learn & Be Healthy, American Heart Association, Family Resources and Consultation Services, Southshore Bilingual Therapy, El Sendero Verde, Vicky's Sweetness, Choose It Foods, Royal Nutrition Bar, Marcela's Sweets, and Blue Bus.
