, our annual Ballet Festival, this year curated by Misty Copeland, opens at The Joyce. The festival centers Black, brown and q***r artistic voices from all around the globe, with Copeland's vision for the form at the helm.

“I feel like everything I’m doing is connected to ballet in some way and will have different layers and levels of impact'...'How are we using ballet in different spaces?” Copeland sits down with The New York Times to speak about the festival and ballet's potential to reach beyond it.
