Senior Moments yesterday these to boys had to go to the vet... Both are are very Senior, their bodies are struggling with that fact, while their minds are still saying, we are still young and tenacious! Buddy (chihuahua) is approximately 12yrs old and Butters )fl brown dog) is 14yrs old. Both plagued with medical ailments that they refuse to let slow them down.

Buddy has congestive heart failure accompanied by failing valves. He has recently become a bit more symptomatic in his episodes so we got some injections and medication adjustments to help him out! He still acts like he runs the show as "Machine Gun Buddy" (named for his rapid fire barking) and doesn't let it hold him back, hoping for many more years filled with love and s***k!

Butters has immunity issues that cause his skin ears and eyes to never fully heal! Between allergies, yeast and bacteria we are forever trying to balance his reactions. This affects every facet of his body accept his wagging tail and his will to swim and fetch a ball! These are the things he lives for! He too got med injections and medication adjustments yesterday. He is of course ready to swim as always today!

Thank you Karen Borg for taking us to the vet yesterday! It is always a pleasure (for me) (you may be holding your head) when we are together and I am likely babbling endlessly about dogs or goodness knows what, I'm sure it has to do with an animal though! You are truly appreciated and valued by not only Chris and I, but PJ-EDward-Thomas-Borg, Zoey, Annie-Lou and about 100 other dogs at least!👣 💜🤍💜🐾

AA-RAN AND ALANA... Koo-koo's girls have grown and are starting to act like little pups.

They are sentimentally named after my late brother Aaran Alan, because they were born in his birthday and I couldn't think of a better way to say Happy Birthday Aaran Alan!

🌭🌭HOTDOG TRAPPED 07/15/2026 With Hope for Misfits

Rescuing Elliot (now the name) after learning he had been on the run for over a month approximately 6 weeks, which also means he had to survive 4th of July with no reprieve. I can't imagine what he had to endure since he is also so scared of people he wasn't just going house to house and hanging out. He was surviving by hunkering down in the day and scavenging at night. This is what got him through.

When we found he had an owner we were ecstatic. We had no clue that we were also rescuing him from a life he was once living... His owner was actually less than thrilled to see him brought home. Apparently he only got him to breed and he didn't have him long and he had been passed around a bit already. Elliot had not found a person to tell him he was special yet. He still questions what special is, and why do these people keep trying to love me so hard!? His eyes speak a million stories of an empty existence. His nose longs again and again for something certain, but he doesn't know what that is!

At this point Elliot is still learning to trust or maybe I should say Elliot lives truly as a symbol of caution! He has the sweetest most gentle, calm and quiet soul. A soul that is bound by fear yet yearns so badly to be brave. He tries so hard to trust but the moment he feels the slightest bit of touch, noise or movement that seems even a little different, he freezes then flees. He loves to come close to me or my mother but he always has 3 paws ready to scoot and the other saying hold tight it will be okay! He tries anyway and he tries again. So we will eventually get there and he will learn he is safe and loved.

Always a few feet behind he follows my mother like a puppy dog inquisitive and uncertain. It is adorable especially since she is still learning how to dog herself! He will do such with me as well but she is for sure his person! He knows I am the one that brings treats and toys and all things to challenge his scared senses. So he still greets me very slowly! Elliot is doing wonderful though considering all things life are so scary to him! It seems for now the two of them are learning to dog and it is certainly cute to watch neither of them really know what to expect from one anther all they know is they are going through this thing we call life and though they are both so uncertain about so much they are filling a void that says they are not alone in this journey!

Figured I haven't shared him as much lately and he must be missed! He is truly my sunshine everyday! 🌞🌞🌞

It has been so hot lately so we haven't gone as many places. He still goes for car rides daily because he is not a walker for long not to mention he isn't good at venting in the heat well either. But he is spectacular at laying back relaxing just about anywhere and I do mean anywhere! He loves to just watch people, and for those that aren't weary of him he gives a lot of love and drool! 🤤🤤🤤
Brightside... it is more like water unlike Owen who produces glue!

ADOPT MADRE LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

Madre is an ideal girl for someone that is looking for a companion that is not too young and rambunctious! She is house trained, non destructive, cat friendly, and plays well with dogs her size! Madre is an excellent girl, she had been known best for her role in rescue helping shy and scared dogs come out of their shell. She has welcomed many puppies and taught them manners and how to be good pups! It is truly Madres torn to have someone welcome her into their home! She deserves to share life with a person or a family! She loves walks, belly rubs, treats and children. She has not had significant time with small dogs but we took her walking with a chihuahua last week and they both just kind of ignored each other. Madre doesn't need a fenced yard she will go on walks for potty. She does like to run and play in the yard but it is not a requirement! Madre knows basic commands and loves to show off for cookies! She has a great personality and loves to please! Madre is 5 yrs old, spayed, on monthly prevention and UTD. LOCATED IN WEBSTER FL.

Meet Madre: a girl whose story started with her sleeping outside a grocery store, pregnant and afraid. 💔

After days of trying to catch her, she was finally found Madre sleeping by the doors in the middle of the night. She was brought to safety and soon gave birth to two puppies, sadly losing one at birth.

That was then. ❤️

Today, Madre is about 5 years old, spayed, house trained, great on a leash, non-destructive and full of love. She enjoys walks and hikes, sunbathing, toys, the occasional zoomies and cooling off in a kiddie pool. ☀️💦

She survived the streets. She raised her baby. Now it’s finally Madre’s turn.
