🐰 As the Fluffle Turns… Mama Luna is choosing her own path. 💕
In just five months, Luna has gone from surviving outside to being trapped and rescued, having seven babies, being spayed, and meeting two bunnies who weren’t exactly rolling out the welcome mat.
That’s a lot for one little mama.
She’s still learning what it means to be safe…to settle into domestic life after spending so long in survival mode. So we’ve stopped trying to integrate her with Cho and Lumos. Right now, we’re listening to what makes Luna happy.
And one thing makes her VERY happy: spending time with me, co-founder Jen. 🥹
She lights up and runs to the gate when I enter my office. When I sit with her, she demands pets… sometimes by playfully biting my butt. No joke. Apparently, my attention comes with a bunny-enforced contract. 😂
When I leave, she follows me to the gate, making it awfully hard to say goodbye.
For now, the office is where Luna seems happiest, and that’s enough. We may revisit bunny introductions someday. Or perhaps she’ll enjoy becoming an education ambassador, helping people understand domestic rabbits so fewer bunnies experience what she did.
There’s no deadline for figuring that out. Luna has already had so much happen beyond her control. We want to give her the time, safety, and choices she deserves.
Her story is still unfolding. And she gets a say. 🐰💕
