Remember Charlie Durell? She stopped by campus this week!

She was at Proctor in admissions for 32 years! She is also a mother of two alums. She did it all! It started with hand-typed correspondence, then she talked her first boss, Chuck Will, into buying her one of the earliest computers on campus and and then helped build Admissions' first database system, because Charlie was always a step ahead. By the time Chris Bartlett was her boss, she'd become the person everyone leaned on.

Many of us can credit her for helping us get into college - she would type out our college applications on her typewriter - mine included!

The Green Key Award is named after her - that should tell you everything.

We love getting cool stories from alums, and this one definitely qualifies. 💚

Kally Bryant '23 spent 30 days backpacking through Alaska's Talkeetna Mountains with NOLS, and on the very first day, met a fellow Proctor connection in her group of 13, Eloise Colhoun '27.

They never crossed paths on campus, but it didn't take long to feel like old friends, same teachers, same classes, even the same lacrosse uniform. Over a month in the backcountry, that shared Proctor foundation became something they leaned on, especially on the hard days.

Proof that you can find Proctor connections anywhere ... even the middle of the Alaskan wilderness.

⛳ For 35 years, the Proctor Golf Tournament brought our community together for an afternoon on the course.

This fall, we're teeing up the next chapter: The 2026 Proctor Golf Outing — Friendships & Fairways - 9 holes at Den Brae Golf Course (owned by Proctor parent Gordon Craig P'14, '15), followed by happy hour with good food and even better company. And yes - Brenda Godwin's famous Mexican dip is back. 🙌
