A Word From Our Executive Director — 20 Years of Service
After 20 years with this organization — 18 of those years as an employee, growing from staff to Assistant Director, and now serving as Executive Director for the past year and a half — I can truly say this has been more than a job. It has been a journey, a purpose, and a calling.
My journey began after my sister lost her beautiful daughter, Adriana Lynn, just six days before her second birthday due to Hurler Syndrome (MSP1).Watching people surround my sister and family with love and support, asking for nothing in return, changed my heart forever. In that moment, I knew I wanted to do something that would truly mean something to someone.
What began in one house has grown into four properties, one serving women, children, and families, one serving just single men, along with our administration building and donation center.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of crossing paths with more than 6,000 people. The greatest reward isn’t measured in numbers — it’s watching someone who once felt completely broken find hope again, rebuild their life, purchase a home, and discover their own strength.
I’ve been blessed with four amazing children, a husband who has stood beside me for 25 years, an incredible family, fantastic Board members, outstanding staff, wonderful volunteers, donors, and supporters who continue to stand beside this mission.
After 20 years, my heart is still full. I’m grateful for every person, every challenge, every lesson, and every life I’ve been blessed to touch.
I am exactly where I’m meant to be and blessed beyond words. ❤️
