Thank you for helping with the artwork for our clock restoration! 🙏

After standing still at 2:20 for over two decades, the historic 100-year-old McClintock bank clock at South and Main is ticking again, and it features new local artwork! 🎨✨

As part of a community restoration project, Wilmington High School student Holden Wulff designed one of the clock’s brand-new top panels, showcasing a stylized map of Ohio alongside the Great Seal of the State.

Next time you’re downtown, look up to catch the time and admire our local student talent on display! 👏

The long wait is over! The historic bank clock is going back up today, August 18, 2026. The 100+ year old clock has been fully restored by R+L Carriers and will be operational again soon.🎉

Located at the corner of Main St. and South St., the clock has not been showing passersby the correct time for over 20 years. That will soon change!

More details about the clock's restoration will be coming soon.

Welcome back, Wilmington College - Ohio students, and a special welcome to the incoming freshmen, who will be moving in Thursday, August 20. Expect extra traffic around the front of campus between 7am and noon as they move into their new dorms for the very first time. We look forward to seeing you in downtown Wilmington, because you know it's The Place to BE!
