And with that the 2026 Summer Reading Program is in the books! ;) If you participated but weren't here to pick up your prize it's not too late! Come talk to the Library Staff.
We had 93 kids registered. We had between 40 and 70 kids show up each week. The kids turned in reading records to record more than 2000 hours of reading!
Thanks to everyone who pitched in to help out: The Willow Food Pantry Crew, Willow Fire Department, Scott Thompson, Farm on the Bog, Dorys & Chamberlain, Willow Library Association and all the family members who stuck around and lent a hand. I'm sure I am forgetting someone but know that we are grateful!
Thanks to the Alaska Railroad, Mahay's Jet Boat Adventures, The Musk Ox Farm, MatSu Miners, Mat-Su Borough Pools and the Willow Library Association for all the great prizes that the kids got to take home.
