Friends of State Parks, Mat-Su

Friends of State Parks, Mat-Su Friends of State Parks (FoSP), Mat-Su was founded in 2000.

As a registered 501 (c) 3, FoSP works to enhance and protect the natural, historical and recreational resources within State park units of the Mat-Su/Copper Basin State Area. The mission of Friends of State Parks, Mat-Su is:

"To promote the enhancement, preservation, and protection of the natural, historical, and recreational resources within the Mat-Su Borough and park units of the Mat-Su/Copper

River Basin State Parks and Recreation system; assist in implementing park improvements; enhance conservation, and safety awareness; and further educational and interpretive opportunities compatible with the nature of the parks and Mat-Su Borough." Friends of State Parks, Mat-Su works hand-in-hand with government agencies and nonprofit organizations to plan, organize, and fund capital projects, and ongoing maintenance at state parks throughout the Mat-Su Borough:
