It was a star studded evening with our incredible Kisses for Kyle golden partner, Philadelphia Union! Our families whose children are participating as Fearless 43 this year were invited out last evening for a private and over the top fun filled evening! They were greeted with the beautiful Fearless 43 ribbon sign created for our amazing warriors! Then they walked the golden carpet into their very own movie themed party room! As always, every detail was thoroughly thought out and executed so beautifully! Nadya, Erica & their team work so hard leading up to this special annual evening & upcoming KCC game! Our families had the best time last night, sporting smiles from the moment they arrived!! They received amazing gifts, enjoyed movie concessions & dinner, played games, watched a fun movie together and so much more! I loved having the experience to watch every single moment as it makes my heart overflow with love and care for our families and our Philadelphia Union friends. It was pretty special to also hang out with our friend Phang & Aidan 🙂! Thank you Deniyele for joining us last night, seeing you interact with our families is always a treasure!

Make sure you take a few minutes to look at each photo. It will surely bring happiness to your heart too!

If you would like to be with us to see our children participate & be honored as Fearless 43 during the Philadelphia Union's KCC - Kick childhood cancer game next Saturday, here is a link to purchase deeply discounted tickets. You will also be supporting our families with your purchase!

They will be featured as Shooting Stars during the game. Words cannot express our sincere and deep gratitude for all of the love and care you pour into raising needed awareness for families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis each September and all month long!!

Many thanks for always including The Kellan Ford Foundation & Ryan's Case for Smiles and thank you both for all of the amazing gifts & care you provide to our warriors & super sibs attending and for all you do to help our community!

Kisses for Kyle congratulates Sarah Bruno of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, for being a 2026 winner of the Celebrate Caring campaign that recognizes extraordinary nurses through Independence Blue Cross!

When Sarah was notified by IBX, they asked her to select a charity that resonates with her heart. After doing a lot of research, she made a decision to select Kisses for Kyle! Our nonprofit has been awarded a $2500 donation through IBX in honor of Sarah with her compassion, kind heart and dedication in her field to help families at CHOP whose children are facing a cancer diagnosis!

We have had meaningful conversations over the course of the last week as we have many families in common who we help. Our families speak incredibly highly of Sarah and for exceptional reasons. It is a true honor to be included in Sarah's recognition. We are extremely humbled by her selection and are in awe of what a special Nurse & human being she is!!

Kisses for Kyle is honored to introduce our 2026 scholarship recipient, Madalyn Becker! Madalyn is receiving a $5000 one year scholarship as she enters West Chester University to pursue a degree to become a pediatric oncology nurse! Her journey battling leukemia as a teen has greatly inspired her to help other children facing their own battle with cancer. We are so proud of Madalyn and we know her strength, compassion, empathy and kindness will inspire you too!!

"I have always been one of those people who needs to see someone else do something before I could. I would never be the first to volunteer for something. For example, if my siblings and I were going to get flu shots, I certainly would not go first.
So when I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in January of 2024, I scoured the internet for teenagers like me who were going through or had already finished cancer treatment. I had found a few girls and was lucky enough to exchange stories with them. It comforted me to have someone I could relate to and ask questions about such a devastating experience. When I watched each of them reach their final day of treatment, I knew I would eventually get there too.
At the start of my senior year, I had to decide what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Since the day of my diagnosis, I had known I wanted to work in healthcare. My team of doctors, nurses and support staff at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, King of Prussia Campus, had inspired me the most. After spending so much time beside my nurses, my future finally felt clear.
During a conversation with one of my favorite nurses, she had mentioned how she had been diagnosed with cancer around my age. I was a little shocked; I never would have known. A little over a decade earlier, she had faced many of the same fears and challenges that I was facing. Hearing what she went through helped me in a way nothing else had. For the first time, I was able to picture a future for myself beyond cancer.
This realization helped me understand that other kids with cancer could benefit from hearing stories like hers and eventually stories like mine. Because of that, I put "nursing" as my major on every college application I submitted. For the first time, my future felt certain. I found the most reassurance in my bedside nurses, who could balance casual conversation, compassion, and emotional support all at once. I knew that one day, I would become a pediatric oncology nurse myself.
I'm already making steps toward my future with an acceptance to a great nursing program at West Chester University and having finished treatment on May 10th. What motivates me the most is the possibility of having the same impact on children with cancer that my favorite nurse had on me. I hope to build those same meaningful relationships with the children I care for in the future. More than anything, I want them to look at me and realize that there is a life after cancer filled with milestones, new experience, and hope."
