July GGA Water Is Special! 💦
We started our GGA by reading the "Water Is Special" book, using our visual board to learn about the water cycle 🌧️☀️☁️, and then moved into some hands-on water fun!

AAC’s 38th Outing at Elmwood Park Zoo was an unforgettable experience for our children and their families! 🦒💚

Our highlight was the incredible opportunity to feed the giraffes, giving our children a hands-on experience that expanded their understanding of the animal world while fostering appreciation for the care and conservation provided by modern zoos.

Our 3rd Guided Group Activity was all about giraffes! 🦒 We read together, learned fun giraffe facts, and used our visual board to reinforce expectations for our visit to Elmwood Park Zoo and our giraffe feeding experience. To finish, the children practiced their fine motor skills by cutting out their giraffes and gluing them onto popsicle sticks for a fun craft. 🤗

Our first GGA of June began with a story about zoos and the important role they play in caring for animals. Using a visual habitat board, our children matched animals to their habitats, and ended our activity by decorating fun animal masks all this in preparation for our zoo outing! 💙
