SD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), there is a severe lack of support, allowing many Warriors and their families supporting them to fall through the cracks. Our board has been working hard to define the specifics of our new mission and we assure you that you will be the first to know. In a broad sense- we are looking to fill those cracks. Since last Spring we have been assisting OIF/OEF Veterans that contact us taking that huge first step forward to seek help for the heartbreaking unseen wounds they suffer with daily. WE URGE ANY MEMBER OF OUR ACTIVE DUTY OR VETERANS WHO MAY BE THINKING OF HARMING YOURSELF TO IMMEDIATELY REACH OUT FOR HELP BY EITHER CALLING 911 OR THE VETERANS CRISIS LINE- OR BOTH! We know firsthand that most of our Warriors that served in combat and their families assumed once they were back on U.S. soil safely and ended their active duty, that life would go on somewhat like before their military service. Many find shortly after their Active Duty, for others it may be months or years later, that they recognize or accept that their service effected them personally in a huge way! PTS and TBI symptoms or the severity of such symptoms are not exactly the same for everyone. When you take into consideration the NORMAL emotions with what our Nations Heroes have witnessed: the volatile Areas of Operations they were located, the lives of their brothers and sisters they saw pass way before them during their deployment missions, multiple deployments with little time to heal from the last deployments, pushes such emotional stresses down deep inside themselves! They had no time to mourn properly and we know our Heroes would never show or express fear, a HUMAN trait! I know statistics show that 3 out of 10 that served in combat will suffer with some degree of PTS and TBI symptoms. We have found that number is totally unrealistic and very low. Our Warriors are mortal- they are human beings no matter how well trained! EDUCATION TO FAMILY MEMBERS OF OUR HEROES WHO SUFFER (MANY TIMES SILENTLY) WITH PTS AND TBI IS CRUCIAL!! Too many times our Military families feel lost and alone in what to do to support their loved one, suffering with PTS/TBI. We will assist you the best we can in realizing you are NOT alone, and share with you from our experiences the best way to support your loved one suffering with PTS and TBI. The first step is acknowledging PTS and TBI are very real medical conditions! PTS IS PHYSIOLOGICAL AND TBI IS NEUROLOGICAL BOTH VERY REAL MEDICAL CONDITIONS! Unlike most official Military Resources usage of the words “Military Family”. We fully recognize the parents of our Military! We are here to support you also! We will serve those that so bravery and humbly served us! We must have their backs! PTS & TBI are NOT the same-nor should they be treated as such! They do however share a few common symptoms. With such a high demand for progress, there are regular advancements in the areas of research and treatment of both the physical and physiological effects of TBI and PTSD. We will advocate to have the voices of those that suffer silently with the unseen wounds of war heard! Our Nations Heroes must be priority and substantial programs must be in place to meet their needs! WHEN GOING THROUGH TREATMENT FOR PTS OR TBI, MANY PROGRAMS TAKE MONTHS OF THERAPY! OUR VETERANS MUST GIVE 100% OF THEMSELVES, THEY MUST LOOK AT IT AS A NEW MISSION ONE FOR THEMSELVES THIS TIME! WE MUST ASSIST THEM WITH THEIR FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS. WHILE IN TREATMENT. TOO MANY VETERANS HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER A YEAR OR MORE FOR TEIIR VA MEDICAL RATING TO COME THROUGH- WHICH THEY EARNED. IF IT WASN’T FOR FAMILY OR FRIENDS THESE VETERANS WOULD BE HOMELESS! MANY VETERANS ARE UNABLE TO WORK DUE TO SEVERE HYPER VIGILANCE, MIGRANES, VERTIGO, AND SOCIAL ANXIETIES. KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE HUMBLE HEROES! THEY DO NOT WANT ANY HAND OUT- THEY HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE ADULTS THAT HAVE BEEN TO WAR! HOWEVER THEY MUST PUT ALL THAT ASIDE AND ACCEPT A HAND UP, SO THEY CAN TAKE THE TIME NEEDED TO HEAL AND FOCUS ON THEMSELVES! America 4R Marines to date has shipped over 60 Tons of year round support to our deployed Marines and Navy Corpsman (the USMC’s Medics) since our birth in October 2006! We are very pleased to see now, 7 years later “most” Areas of Operations and Forward Operating Posts have many more amenities than they did back in 2006. With the number of deployed troops declining (but still not diminishing!) each year, our original mission is no longer as urgent as it once was. We are very proud of the impact we have had over the years- touching the lives of tens of thousands of individuals in many entire units/battalions. On top of the many tons of supplies sent overseas, America 4R Marines has also raised tens of thousands of dollars to have memorials built on several bases to honor our Fallen Heroes. We have always including focus on the spouses and children of our Marines and Sailors also, by sponsoring family events on various bases. Support and Advocating for the parents of our Marines and Sailors to be recognized as a crucial part of the USMC family has been a personal focus of our president since 2006
The main mission of America 4R Marines is to support Marines and Sailors in the most remote areas who are protecting the citizens of the United States while deployed. We support entire units/battalions- products we know are needed. We must all do our part to lift the morale of these brave, selfless warriors. On a daily basis, these brave young warriors confront a hostile and harsh environment, which few could even imagine. We are not a care package organization. We buy in BULK and ship needs to entire units/battalions. To date we have shipped over 60 TONS to our deployed since our birth in 2006. My son returned home to us physically unharmed after 3 deployments from 2003-late 2007; therefore, I will be forever indebted to those that serve in the United Staes Marine Corps. Mom 4R Marines is now DBA as America 4R Marines. Why you ask? Our founder is very involved with the USMC in another separate endeavor- therefore most assumed Mom 4R Marines was a MOM support group. Also recent veterans of units/battalions we supported as far back as 5 years ago now want to " Pay it Forward" to their brothers and sisters.. No Marine I know would want to promote they are a member of what Appears to be a MOM group.. They are the only reasons fir the change.. For our first 4 years we were a subsidiary under the All Divisions MCL. The only reason for separation was to grow with the current needs of our Deployed. Many members of All Divisions MCL are now Officers of America 4R Marines. Regardless of our personal political affiliation, these individuals have earned and deserve our support and appreciation. We want to show them that The United States of America and her citizens stand behind those who selflessly guard her freedom. Our largest one time shipment is for our Annual “ Merry Christmas Marines and Sailors” Last year at our 5th Annual event we shipped over 5300 stockings filled with IDENTICAL ITEMS- With a total shipping weight of 14 TONS! We do not put a ton of snacks and toiletries in our stockings! Are Marines and Corpsman very rarely have such facilities available to shower other than a 5 gallon solar shower! We send Hoppe Boresnakes to clean their M4's, headlamps, weapon cleaners, we even include a cigar with the logo! Each stocking is over stuffed and is valued over $120.00! This year for our 6th Annual Mission we are planning on shipping 5300 or more! The cost and logistics to do this mission are HUGE! Semper Fidelis!
