September is Self–Care Awareness Month 😃

It is a time to remind us that taking care of ourselves, first and foremost, is essential. Self-care is often neglected in our everyday lives. We all tend to put others' needs before our own and it is crucial to remember that we cannot fill another cup from our own empty vessel. Getting a massage is a beautiful example of taking time for our well-being.

Tonight was a wonderful night for the AMTA Vermont Chapter.

We had our Meet & Greet here at the American Massage Therapy Association - AMTA National Convention.

Thank you Nora, Abby & Kathryn for getting together. Even though we were a small group, we got to talk about a lot of big things. Enjoy the rest of your conference and we look forward to seeing you back in Vermont.

Yesterday was American Massage Therapy Association - AMTA Assembly of Delegates – AOD meeting here in Denver. The AOD brings together all the delegates from all the AMTA chapters during the week of the National Convention.

Vermont’s delegates are Jennifer Findley and Hercules Liotard Rmt (who was substituting for the chapter other delegate Heather Chadwick) were a part of this wonderful event.

During the meeting, the delegates discussed three topics that affect the AMTA massage community. The topic of discussion was:
*Massage & AI – How massage therapist can use and integrate AI into massage therapy, as well as the concerns for doing so.
* Chapter Deliverables – How can AMTA chapters effectively keep members informed contacting them through our newsletters, social media and/or other means.
*Roles of the Delegates – A discussion of the current roles and how they may change or could be expanded.

It was a very interesting and productive day, and we were happy to be a part of it.
