🎉Congratulations to the ConnectUs Children's Advocacy Center on opening their new office in Williston! We are incredibly fortunate to not only have this resource in our community, but to also be a part of their Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) for investigating and responding to child abuse cases.

MDTs help to protect children, while reducing trauma during the investigation process, and ultimately support a child-centered response.

❗️The average age a person discloses child abuse is 52 years old. Many people will NEVER TELL…

💙Have conversations with your children often so they feel SAFE coming to you. Show them that you BELIEVE them in smaller matters, so you build TRUST for bigger issues.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month!💙 So we feel it is an appropriate time to WELCOME you to our new ConnectUs Children's Advocacy Center page where we will work together to support, protect, and give a voice to children in our community.

❣️Please READ❣️Behind this photo is a story of generosity, compassion, and a community stepping up for children who need it most…..

This post is long overdue, but we wanted to share some of the faces behind an incredible act of generosity — and a picture was necessary…(sorry guys)📸

🎄In December, Triangle Electric sent an email to its staff encouraging support for ConnectUs Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC). The message acknowledged that there are many worthy local causes to support, but emphasized the importance of standing behind the broader mission of child protection and advocacy, using our local CAC as the vehicle to make a meaningful impact for children and families in our region.

From December 1st through December 12th, Triangle pledged to match employee contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to $4,000, with the hope of amplifying the impact their team could make together.

What happened next was truly incredible.

Not only did their employees meet the goal — they far exceeded it. Through the generosity of the Triangle team, $15,473 was raised, along with multiple tangible comfort items donated for children served by the CAC.

🧸These funds and items help provide things like blankets, stuffed animals, journals, and art supplies — small comforts that can mean so much to a child facing one of the hardest days of their life. Sometimes something as simple as a soft blanket or stuffed animal can help a child feel just a little less alone.

💕To everyone at Triangle Electric who donated, contributed items, or helped make this possible — thank you. Your kindness and willingness to support children and families during incredibly difficult moments does not go unnoticed.

The generosity shown by the Triangle team truly reflects the heart behind the words they often share at the end of their emails: “What you do for yourself dies with you. What you do for others lives on forever.”

Because of you, that impact will live on in the comfort, care, and compassion given to children who walk through the doors of the CAC.

🎆$8,363. $8,363 was raised last night by the WHS girls Hockey team at their 2nd annual mental health event “More Than Just Hockey”!!!

This team organized it all…
🏒 T-shirt design (Brooklyn Bohannon)👚
🏒 Silent Auction Baskets 🗒️
🏒Chuck a puck + Puck designs🎗️
🏒Community Connection 🤝
🏒 Free entry to those who brought a comfort item for the newly established ConnectUs Children’s Advocacy Center 🦄

💗We are in awe of the energy, empathy, generosity, and activism this group holds, lead by their fearless leaders Rachel Hennessy , Sam Miller and Kayla Solem. Being a part of a team isn’t just about wins and losses, it is more. It is about culture, support, character development and for many, hopefully, a safe place to land. These coaches understand the big picture and the girls understood the assignment.

The ConnectUs Foundation is honored to receive this gift on behalf of those who might need a little more. Funds donated to the ConnectUs Foundation will be utilized for su***de prevention efforts, hardship assistance and mental health supports. Job well done girls!!! Thank you just doesn't feel like enough. 🧡🖤

On behalf of the children and families that find their way to the ConnectUs Children’s Advocacy Center, we thank Williston Community Builders for this extraordinary gift. Comfort items may seem small, but in moments of crisis they become anchors—something soft to hold, something familiar in a frightening space. Your generosity helps us create an environment where children can feel safe, cared for, and believed. We are profoundly grateful💙💛
