What a joy it was to partner alongside of other nonprofits and host Filled Local Norfolk this month.

Our staff had the honor of serving throughout the weekend providing breakout sessions, one on one coaching, as well as main stage teaching.

We’re beyond thankful for the opportunity to serve Foster and Adoptive Moms in this way!

We are thrilled to be a co-host for the upcoming FILLED Local Norfolk retreat for foster, adoptive, and kinship Moms. This event is made in part through Foster the Family and their annual retreat in Lancaster, PA every year. FILLED Local Norfolk will offer main stage sessions recorded at FILLED 2026 in PA as well as live worship, in person workshops, delicious food, and time for connection with other like minded Moms. Our staff will be serving at this event and leading some of the workshop sessions. We would love for you to join us! The link to register will be posted in the comments.

This summer we got to work with the ladies from Barbara's Child Care Center and train them using the TBRI Overview Course. Children thrive when families and childcare workers are using the same methods and are consistent across the board. If you’re looking for a trauma informed and TBRI trained childcare in Norfolk, look no further than Barbara’s Childcare Center. These ladies love their job and are excellent at what they do!
