This past weekend was truly a time to celebrate as many outstanding Girl Scouts achieved the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award. While we congratulate each and every recipient on this remarkable accomplishment, I would like to recognize three exceptional young women from Penn's Woods Service Unit 331.

Adrienne earned her Gold Award by developing a Poverty Pantry that provides personal hygiene products to those in need. Through the support and sustainability of her local church, her project will continue to serve the community for years to come.

Sophia earned her Gold Award by designing and sewing activity blankets for individuals living with dementia. Inspired by her own grandmother's battle with this devastating disease, Sophia dedicated countless hours to creating items that provide comfort, engagement, and sensory stimulation for those affected.

Katie earned her Gold Award by building picnic tables for Camp Louise, including a handicap-accessible picnic table to ensure all campers can enjoy the outdoors together. Her project leaves a lasting legacy of inclusion and accessibility.

As Service Unit Leader of Penn's Woods Service Unit 331, I could not be prouder of these young women. Their dedication, compassion, leadership, and commitment to making the world a better place embody the very best of Girl Scouting. We congratulate Adrienne, Sophia, and Katie on this incredible achievement and wish them continued success in all their future endeavors.

Important information from Miss Jen.
The incentives did not arrive until around 9:15 last night. Miss Jen has discovered in addition to the t-shirts and the crew, beaded lanyards, straw toppers, and bunk lights will be sent at a later date. Miss Jen said if you would like to pick the items up all together it would be within the next two weeks when they arrive.
