Charley Gwaltney receiving his brothers Mibster Championship Crown from Matt Corley of the National Marbles Tournament at the Salem Museum with Assistant Director, Hunter Haskins. The crown will be added to the trophy display. This was all completed to make Russell’s request complete to have his trophy and crown at the Salem Museum because he is the only Virginia champ.

Brian Cherry had the opportunity to attend the recognition of the 2025 National Marbles Champion, Vincent Ruiz, at the Tennessee House of Representatives assembly in Nashville!

It's with a heavy heart we announce the passing of a National Marbles Tournament legend, Mr. Jerry Piquette this past Saturday.

For 27 years Jerry taught children of all ages the game of marbles. For many years, Jerry brought mibsters from the Rocky Mountains to the New Jersey shore for the National Marbles Tournament. Jerry coached 3 National Marbles Champions at this time and also has more "best sport award" winners than most other areas represented. In some ways I believe this was one of his favorite parts of the tournament. He encouraged many children and adults how to lead with kindness, practice hard and always cheer for a good "Stick".

We're thankful for the years he was able to contribute to the National Marbles Tournament.
