MakeICT provides resources and activities to help members of our community create. Our flagship program is the MakeICT makerspace – a 22,000 square foot facility which is home to several different areas filled with tools and equipment. MakerSpaces can be viewed as open community labs incorporating elements of machine shops, workshops and/or studios where makers can come together to share resources and knowledge to build and make things. It’s sort of like a gym, but instead of equipment for building your body, we have equipment for building things – whatever it might be! MakeICT is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and is operated entirely by volunteers. It’s our mission to innovate, learn, and build community at the intersection of art, technology, science, and culture.

Party in the Fab Lab! The Maker Monday tour got to peek in on Ben’s laser cutting class. Most classes are open to members and non-members alike, so if the tour doesn’t convince you to join us, maybe a class will. 👷‍♂️

He may look menacing, but it’s for a good cause: the giant 3D-printed duck is going to auction AT CLOSING GATE CEREMONY today at The Great Plains Renaissance Festival! The proceeds will be donated to the Kansas Food Bank.

8x8 booth and outside vending spots available. Membership at MakeICT not required, but does give a discount for booth rental. This market focuses on the handmade and personally created. No AI or multi-level marketing vendors.

You wanna get fancy in the textile room? 💃 Embroidery machine available soon!

We got to make an exciting delivery! MakeICT has an amazing Textile room, with devoted June as their fearless leader! They got a grant and we decided to sponsor the rest! And now an amazing Brother Sews 1700E - Artspira compatible embroidery machine will soon be available to members to use! For fun or to start their own micro business - we are so grateful to get to be a part of inspiring MAKERS! The Make ICT - maker space is a community center that for a small membership of $25/month you get access to a whole school of experts, tools, machines, resources and beyond! Join us Tuesday early evening when we go back and do a LIVE unboxing and simple training of how easy this machine is to operate!
