United Way of Jefferson & North Walworth Counties Our mission is to fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our communities.

The mission of UWJNWC focuses on three community building blocks -

Health - Improving people's health
Education - Helping our children, youth and neighbors achieve their potential. Financial Independence - Promoting financial stability and independence. The United Way of Jefferson & North Walworth Counties currently provides support to 32 local agencies - all actively improving lives in our commu

Come enjoy an evening of fun, prizes, and community while supporting a great cause! Proceeds from the night will benefit Hunt For Life, an organization dedicated to helping boys and girls who have lost a parent in military or law enforcement service.

Every game played helps make a difference in the lives of these deserving children.

What an incredible evening!

A special thank you to our reading circle leaders who shared stories and inspired young readers, our volunteers who helped with setup, registration, pizza service, book distribution, and cleanup, and our community partners who helped make the event fun and engaging from start to finish. Your time, energy, and dedication created a magical experience for hundreds of children and families.

And to the families who joined us—thank you for spending your evening with us, sharing in the joy of reading, and making this event so special.

Together, we celebrated literacy, community, and the power of stories. We are grateful for every person who played a part in making Reading Under the Lights an unforgettable experience.

Did you know audiobooks can help children build vocabulary, improve listening skills, strengthen reading comprehension, and foster a lifelong love of stories? Audiobooks are a wonderful way to support literacy for all readers, including reluctant readers, emerging readers, busy families and children with learning differences.
