Meet Rhonda…

She went to the doctor this week because I was worried—okay, fine, slightly paranoid—about her round little belly. After the last few months of illness, I’m basically one suspicious sneeze away from opening a full-time feline urgent care clinic.

Turns out…

She’s just getting plump. 😂🤣😂
Crisis cancelled. Snacks remain the primary suspect.

Rhonda is healthy, affectionate, and fully committed to shoulder rides and serving as your personal heated scarf. She’s food-motivated (honestly, who among us isn’t?) and would love a window seat for premium world-watching.

This gorgeous girl needs a home—and she absolutely deserves one. Help us get Rhonda where she belongs!

Apply to serve her today.

I know it’s been suspiciously quiet over here. You haven’t had to read one of my lengthy posts for a few days—tragic, I know. 🙄

The reality is, I’ve been buried in end-of-year chaos: preparing our November and December fundraisers, finishing the 2027 calendars, promoting the Gala, and getting our Sponsor a Kitty for Christmas campaign ready. These things take time, energy, and approximately 87% of my remaining brain cells.

Thankfully, our incredible volunteers and staff keep everything moving. (Including myself) Without them, I’d probably have lost all of my marbles. I’ve got a few left, so we’re doing great.

Although adoptions are paused for October, we have several kitties waiting for homes—and they would absolutely love to be home for Christmas.

Yes, we give them brand-new toys and celebrate at the café, but nothing compares to having a home, a family, and a human who thinks your 3 a.m. zoomies are adorable.

We have too many cats to post all at once, so I’ll be sharing a few at a time. All available cats are listed on our website with updated photos and bios.

And because apparently we enjoy keeping life interesting, we have 11 more kitties coming in November, heading into foster care until we can free up space. Several more are also waiting to join us from other rescues.

That’s right—we help other rescues, too.

This isn’t a one-person gig. We work together to create a bigger impact, because collaboration beats competition every time. 👏🏻

So let’s get these cats adopted and home. They’re eating us out of house and home—and they’re ready for their humans.

Shrimp makes life a lottle bit easier. 🍤

We had 9 applications, only ONE responded.

Consider fostering for us. We provide EVERYTHING. Including around the clock support.

We need at least 4 more fosters for this group.

11 cats on 11/11. If you’re looking for a sign, this is it. ✨

‼️Fosters Needed‼️

We have an upcoming group of 11 kitties that will be arriving in November, and we’re looking for loving foster homes to help give them the safe, nurturing start they deserve.

Fostering is one of the most meaningful ways to make an impact in rescue.

By opening your home, you provide comfort, stability, and individualized care while a cat prepares for adoption. In return, these incredible animals bring companionship, joy, and the rewarding experience of watching them grow and thrive.

It truly takes all of us.

The cats rely on their fosters for love and guidance, fosters rely on us for support and resources, and we rely on our foster community to help save more lives.

Together, we create a symbiotic relationship built on trust, compassion, and the same shared goal of helping every cat we can, find a safe and loving forever home.

Whether you’ve fostered before or are completely new to rescue, we would love to hear from you!

Please DM, email, or text us for more information. (262)812-9515

Friends, grab a box of tissues—because this update is going to hit you right in the heart. ♥️

Remember Stevie?
The severely emaciated gray cat we rescued from the alley in September—the one we found eating from garbage cans just to survive?

He made his way to the café today.
And holy sh*t… he is beautiful.

I’ll be honest: I cried when Kris handed him to me. The last time I saw Stevie, I didn’t know what his future would look like—or whether he even had one.

But look at him now. 🩶

Because of Kris, her incredible volunteer team, his medical care, his foster support, and every single person who followed, shared, donated, encouraged, and believed in him, Stevie is finally on the road to healing. He hardly looks like the same cat.

We named him Stevie because he was a little singer when we found him (still is). At first, we thought he was female—but this gorgeous boy turned out to be a neutered male who had somehow been left to fend for himself.

Today, he quickly settled in. The cats welcomed him. And Stevie spent the day exploring every corner of the café—every chair, every bed, every cat tree, every room.

I watched him take it all in, and my eyes leaked all day.

This is resilience.
This is the will to live.
This is what happens when people refuse to look away.

We all saved this handsome man. No single person could have done it alone. It took teamwork, compassion, time, and an entire community pulling in the same direction.

Thank you to everyone who has followed Stevie’s story and helped carry him this far. Keep watching as he gains weight, rebuilds his strength, and gets closer to the loving forever home he deserves.
