There is a difference between doing this work alone and being supported while you do it.

IAG membership connects educators, coordinators, and advocates to resources, professional learning, and a network of people who understand the unique needs of gifted learners.

That kind of connection matters, especially when the work feels isolating or complex. If you have been thinking about getting more connected, this is a great time to take that step. Join IAG today!

Did you know Indiana 4th graders receive free admission to state parks?

It is a great opportunity to turn a simple outing into a meaningful learning experience. From exploring trails to observing wildlife, these moments help build curiosity and connection to the world around us.

Sometimes the best lessons happen outside the classroom and long after the school day is done.

Plan your visit: https://www.in.gov/dnr/state-parks/

State parks offer more than just a place to visit. They create opportunities for hands-on learning, exploration, and curiosity for all ages. Whether it is observing nature, asking new questions, or simply experiencing something different, these moments can spark ideas that last beyond the day itself.

Learning does not always happen in a classroom, and some of the best lessons come from the world around us.

Plan your visit and start exploring: https://www.in.gov/dnr/state-parks/

Meet Denise, IAG'S President Elect. Her favorite summer activity is spending her days outside—camping, traveling, and playing with her family, or relaxing on her hammock while listening to the birds sing.

This time allows her to slow down, stay curious, and see things from a different perspective. Whether it is exploring something new or revisiting a favorite place. It is a great reminder that growth does not always come from structured settings.

What are your favorite summer activities?

The right audience matters.

At Ignite the Spark 2026, sponsors and exhibitors have the opportunity to connect directly with educators and decision-makers working with high ability students across Indiana. From classroom teachers and coordinators to district leaders and administrators, attendees come looking for ideas, partnerships, and resources they can bring back to their schools.

This is more than booth traffic—it’s meaningful engagement with professionals actively invested in education.

As Teacher Appreciation Month comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say one more thank you.

To the educators who challenge thinking, support growth, and create opportunities for gifted learners—your work makes a difference every day. You help students build confidence, explore their potential, and take on new challenges.

Consider sharing appreciation for an educator in your network by nominating them for the 2026 Feldhusen Outstanding Teacher of the Gifted Award.
