Ride for Wishes in Memory of Chuck Worden to Benefit Make-A-Wish of MN Sparking Hope in Children with critical illness by supporting Make-A-Wish MN! Chuck was many things to many people. He had the biggest heart.

"Ride for Wishes" is a annual event that has been created by friends and family of Chuck Worden who passed away on July 14th, 2004. Around the Midwest, he was most known for his singing. As the lead singer of a Southern Rock band named "Chain Lightning", his deep growling voice belted out the lyrics of well known artists such as ZZ Top and Lynard Skynard as well as many songs written by Chuck and

other members of the band. As exciting as this is, to those who knew him well, Chuck was so much more. Chuck was a dad, a fiancé a confidant and a friend. This event has been created by the friends and family of Chuck Worden as a tribute to the memory of a man who meant so much to us. All the work is being performed by volunteers. Tomorrow, landmarks across the state will light up blue for World Wish Day, celebrating the first wish ever granted and the movement our community continues to fuel.

As you’re out and about, look for the blue lights shining for our wish kids, their families, our volunteers, medical partners, and every WishMaker who brings hope to life in Minnesota.
